St George's Cottage comprised of 4 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and downstairs was made up of a sitting room, sunroom, kitchen, toilet, storage room and utility room.
Upon investigation, the house needed a new roof and new electrics and plumbing throughout. While this was being completed there was a tanking system installed throughout the entire property to prevent anything permeating through from the rock that the house is built into. In addition to a completely new roof, interior walls, floors and ceilings the two facades adjoining the courtyard also had to be rebuilt. Internally, the whole house was reconfigured to create 4 more even sized bedrooms upstairs and a larger bathroom, along with an ensuite adjoining the master bedroom. Downstairs, an additional bedroom was made in the place of the old kitchen, a shower room where the storage room was, and the rest of the space was used to create a large open plan kitchen, dining area and snug.
The garden was also landscaped, with carefully thought-out flowerbeds and planting. In addition to this there was a decking area built in the woods for additional seating or an outside games area.
